Famous Off-roading Destination in the USA

Death Valley National Park, California

Death Valley National Park, California

The first one on my list. Well, the name may seem a bit odd, but it is only for the summer. You should go off-roading in the winter or spring. In this season, the temperature of the park remains manageable. You will be able to ride more rides than any other park. In this park, 3.4 million areas about 91% of the total are roadless and wilderness areas.

Without it, about 1000 miles of dirt and paved roads will offer you a great opportunity for exploration and recreation. This park is for the vehicle containing four wheels that wait for lots of canyons hidden from the eyes of passersby.

However, there is a favorite trail which is known as Lookout City located on the south part of the paramount springs resort. Having an off-road in this part offers you visiting some attractive sites such as the renowned Cgarocal kilns in Wildrose Canyon, Modoc mine and so on.

Washington Backcountry Discovery Route, Washington State

Washington Backcountry Discovery Route

The Washington Backcountry Discovery route can be the best choice for you if you are looking for an easy 4X4 trail. This is about a 600-mile route from Seattle to Canada. However, you can get started as far as south as Oregon though.

In this route, you will be sharing your road with the cattle. So, don’t forget to have a brush ahead of your vehicle. Otherwise, you may have to pay a lot for this. You will find the nearby trees moving out of the way. In this route, you will be able to have an amazing view of this area as you will be driving along the Cascades.

Moab, Utah

Moab, Utah

You must have heard the name before. Because Moab is one of the most renowned and most talked destinations for off-roading in the USA. This route is enjoyed by all the off-roaders such as hikers, rafters and mountain bikers. In the Moab, you will find lots of terrains for anything till the modified off-road rigs from the stock 4X4 vehicles.

However, no worries if you are not owning any SUV or truck. Because you will get both a jeep as rent and a guide in Moab.

Imperial Sand Dunes, Yuma, California

Imperial Sand Dunes

The movies you have watched so far where the hero was standing in the middle of a desert might not take place in Sahara. Because lots of movies were shot in the Imperial Sand Dunes in California. This area is the largest sand area of the nation about more than 40-miles with the eastern edge of the Imperial Valley.

You should not make a plan for off-roading in the area in summer as the temperature goes about 120 degrees this season. Due to the excessive temperature in the summer, this place is often known as the home of the cruel desert in the country. While off-roading in the imperial sand dunes, it is very normal to lose yourself.

However, this route is one of the most visited routes and works as a magnet for off-roaders. Every year, lots of off-roaders about more than a million used to come here for off-roading.

Dalton Highway, Alaska

Dalton Highway

The Dalton Highway is the beloved route for off-roading, especially for the person who likes gravel. The 414 miles long Dalton highway will offer you watching gravel all the way. Without it, you will be pleased by watching potholes, grizzlies, tractor-trailers and so on.

Whatsoever, before going on off-roading, there are some things to consider. Firstly, You will have to stock up on the Fairbanks, the nearest community to the start of the highway. Then, you will be needing to have some extra food, tires, fuels and also a trunk which should be filled with supplies.

Without it, in this route, you need to be self-sustaining as you are not going to have any services along the route. One more thing, you will have to turn the headlight at all times, tuning the CB radio into the channel-19 the frequency used by the Dalton truckers.
